What is laminated glass?

The light transmittance of PVB film can reach more than 90%, and the refractive index is almost the same as that of glass; it does not harden when it is higher than -50°C and has good bonding performance at 130-140°C, and the glass is firmly bonded with the interlayer material when it is pressed together with high pressure at this temperature. Therefore, laminated glass has high strength, elasticity, and penetration resistance, and can withstand colossal impact.

Sound insulation. If laminated glass is compared with insulating glass, the sound insulation performance effect from high to low is double laminated insulating glass > laminated insulating glass > insulating glass. Insulating glass can not solve the low and medium-frequency noise, laminated glass can be a good solution, this is because the laminated glass between the PVB diaphragm can block and buffer glass vibration, blocking the spread of noise, especially for low and medium-frequency noise isolation effect is perfect.

Energy saving. Laminated glass has a natural anti-ultraviolet ability, and the PVB film in the middle can absorb more than 99% of ultraviolet radiation. The principle is to absorb ultraviolet rays through organic ultraviolet absorbers and organic ultraviolet blockers in the PVB film, so that ultraviolet radiation can be converted into heat energy, through inorganic UV reflectors, which play a role in reflecting and scattering UV rays, By adding "vanadium" to reduce the shading coefficient and play an energy saving and color changing function.

 

Therefore, when the sunlight directly shines on a piece of colorless laminated glass, the PVB interlayer can absorb part of the heat and transfer only part of the heat to the room, thus maintaining the indoor temperature and saving air conditioning consumption.

 

Applicable scene of laminated glass

The most common situations for installing laminated insulating glass doors and windows in home decoration are the following three situations:

 

1. The home is a middle-to-high-rise building, and the standard configuration of exterior doors and windows is tempered insulating glass. However, consumers consider the risk of glass self-explosion and add laminated glass for safety.

 

2. The home is close to noisy places such as streets, roads, elevated roads, etc. In order to improve the sound insulation effect of doors and windows, the insulating glass is upgraded to laminated insulating glass.

3.
