Frosted tempered glass (also called 10mm Acid Etched tempered glass or 10mm tempered opaque glass) is produced by cutting 10mm Acid Etched float glass to size and heating it above 700℃ in a furnace. Rapid cooling creates a durable, translucent surface that balances light diffusion with privacy protection.
Applications & Advantages:
1.Glass balustrade made from frosted tempered glass provide impact resistance (5x stronger than annealed glass) while maintaining natural light transmission. Its tempered opaque glass finish ensures unobstructed views with 95% UV blockage, ideal for glass balustrade or pool enclosures.
2.As a tempered opaque glass variant, it transforms offices or bathrooms into private spaces—sunlight penetrates through the frosted texture, but surface patterns obscure visibility.
