Clear toughened glass, classified as "safety glass," is engineered for superior impact resistance compared to ordinary clear float glass. When fractured, it disintegrates into small, blunt particles (per EN 12150 standards), minimizing injury risks in glass balustrade and glass pool fence applications. This material’s high thermal tempering process ensures 5x greater strength, making it ideal for glass balustrade and glass pool fence systems in high-traffic areas like commercial corridors and residential balconies.
For Glass Pool Fence, clear toughened glass is laminated with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers to prevent spontaneous breakage from chlorine exposure or UV radiation. By integrating clear toughened glass into glass balustrade railings and glass pool fence enclosures, architects achieve a 92% visible light transmittance while meeting ASTM C1048 safety criteria.
